OPAL-RT’s wide selection of validated I/O expansion units enable the expansion of the amount of I/Os or communication networks on a given simulator platform. Multiple expansion units can be added to increase the capabilities of a simulator, delivering the widest variety of test possibilities for different applications in various industries.
The OP4520 is an I/O expansion part of the OP4500/OP4600 family, using the Xilinx Kintex®-7 410T FPGA to provide additional inputs and outputs for existing OPAL-RT simulators and expansion units. The OP4520 provides up to 128 additional I/Os together with 4 high-speed SFP communication or PCI-Express links for communicating with OPAL-RT simulators, such as the OP4512, OP4610XG , OP5705XG, and the OP5707XG, in an assortment of configurations.
